Alan Holland is an Associate Principal in the Atlanta, Georgia office. His responsibilities include client relations, construction administration, design, and coordination of projects. Alan has experience with projects from single-story to high-rise buildings of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry for new sites, additions, and renovations. His projects have been in the categories of office, housing, mixed use, healthcare, education, and government, and have included modifications of existing structures for high density file loading and other loadings exceeding the original design criteria. He has been with SDL since 1996, and prior to that worked a combined eleven years with the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Alan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is trained per FEMA-154 and ATC-20 for pre-and post-earthquake screening of existing structures and is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia and Tennessee.
