Daytona International Speedway Expansion

A massive expansion of the nearly mile-long NASCAR track composed of approximately 18,000 tons of steel.  Primary responsibilities included lead design and overall management of the project.  Scope of work included selection of crane paths, staged analysis of steel erection and diaphragms, design of erection bracing, design of stability bracing for demolition of portions of existing structure, documentation of all erection procedures and bracing in Tekla, and coordination of erection considerations with the contractor, fabricator, detailer, and engineer of record.
