The 54,000 square foot building structure is a one- and two-story steel frame with loadbearing interior and exterior reinforced masonry construction. The primary structural components are metal roof trusses supported on interior steel beams and columns at the roof and a concrete floor slab supported on interior steel beams, joists and columns. The exterior walls and interior vestibule lobby walls are reinforced loadbearing masonry walls. The building structure was required to be designed in accordance with the 2007 Edition of the Florida Building Code, including the 2009 Supplements.
