Available Positions
Design Engineer - Atlanta and Nashville
As an SDL Design Engineer, you will be involved in every project phase, from planning to close-out. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and designing structures using software such as RAM, ETABS, RISA, and SAP2000. You will assist in documenting designs in Autodesk Revit and support Construction Administration efforts through job observations and submittal reviews. Additionally, you will work with various structural materials like steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, gaining exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with a Master’s degree preferred, and will have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, achieving E.I. or E.I.T. status. We expect our Design Engineers to become Professional Engineers (P.E.) once they meet the requirements.

BIM Coordinator - Charlotte
As an SDL Autodesk Revit Structural BIM Coordinator, you will prepare structural drawings based on structural specifications, engineering notes, sketches, and detailed design information. This position requires a minimum of two years of predominantly Autodesk Revit Structure experience. You will compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations necessary for 2D and 3D drawing/modeling preparations. Your Revit expertise and ability to work effectively as part of a team will be crucial to your success.
You will be responsible for providing a full range of drawing production work for the structural discipline. This includes creating complete Building Information Models (BIM) using Autodesk Revit from limited verbal and/or written descriptions from SDL’s registered engineers. You will demonstrate independent decision-making skills in drawing production and project execution and have the ability to coordinate BIM and CAD deliverables while successfully corresponding with clients or outside personnel. Other duties and responsibilities may also be assigned.
