Design Engineer (Nashville, TN Office)
SDL’s Nashville Office is currently seeking a strong Design Engineer. The successful candidate will design structures of reinforced concrete, structural steel, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, wood and pre-cast concrete using various design software tools, such as, but not limited to RISA, RAM, ETABS and Adapt. The position includes documenting the structural design in Building Information Models utilizing Autodesk Revit. The Design Engineer will be responsible for evaluating compliance with jurisdictional requirements and local building codes as well as coordinate design activities with other engineers, field engineers and BIM Coordinators.
Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; 0-5 years Structural Engineering Experience; and EIT/EI Registration (PE Registration a plus).

Structural Engineer (Nashville, TN Office)
SDL’s Nashville Office is currently seeking an exceptional Structural Engineer The successful candidate will perform analysis/design of structures using various engineering software. The right candidate should have a working knowledge of various structural design software tools, such as, but not limited to RISA, RAM, ETABS and Adapt. It would be considered a plus if the candidate has a working knowledge of Revit. The right candidate will possess experience in the design of structures built in reinforced concrete, structural steel, post-tensioned concrete, wood, masonry, and pre-cast concrete. Experience in concrete floor systems of post-tensioned slabs, pan joists, flat slabs, pre-stressed joists, cast-in-place beams, hollow core and tilt-up concrete walls panels, would be a plus. Structural Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator (Nashville, TN Office)
SDL’s Nashville Office is seeking an experienced Autodesk Revit structural BIM coordinator to prepare structural engineering drawings. The position requires a minimum of two years of predominantly Autodesk Revit experience. The successful candidate will produce designs based on structural specifications, engineering notes, sketches and/or detailed drawings and design information according to project standards and procedures. In addition, you will compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for 2D and 3D drawing/modeling preparations. Revit expertise and willingness to work as part of a team will be keys to your success.
This position is responsible for providing a full range of drawing production work for the structural discipline. Responsibilities require production of complete Building Information models utilizing Autodesk Revit from limited verbal and/or written descriptions from SDL’s registered engineers. Individual must be able to demonstrate independent decision making skills in drawing production and project execution. EIT Structural Engineer (Atlanta, GA Office)
SDL’s Atlanta Office is seeking a well-qualified EIT Engineer (Structural) with less than 5 years of experience. The position involves the analysis and design of structures using various engineering software, coordinating design activities with other engineers/BIM technicians, and includes the design of structures constructed in reinforced concrete, structural steel, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, pre-cast concrete, and wood. Proficiency in REVIT is preferred. Education and Experience: Master’s Degree is required; 0 – 5 years Structural experience; EIT or PE Registration is a plus and working knowledge of REVIT and other engineering software programs.

Document Control Specialist (Atlanta, GA Office)
SDL’s Atlanta Office is seeking a well-qualified, full-time, Document Control Specialist. The positions responsibilities include:
- Process and distribute communications and information flows according to action such as, RFI’s, design documents, models, inspection reports and shop drawings.
- Troubleshoot Document Control issues as reported by Project Managers and/or other Departments.
- Manage documentation distribution during design, construction, commissioning and closeout phases of projects.
- Maintain Project files in hard-copy and electronic retention systems, as required.
- Assist Project team with the timely retrieval of documents and assembly requirements of internal and external audits.
- Provide administration and oversight of the document management systems related to project delivery.
- Ensure quality/compliance of Project document management plans and process, as well as alignment with Project and Corporate requirements.
- Ensure Project participants are trained in application of program document control system.
- Communication with clients as needed.
- Convert current hard copy documents to electronic versions.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ previous experience with an A/E/C firm preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, grammar, proofreading and organizational skills are a must.
- Understanding of different personality types and communication styles for effective presentation, communication and conflict resolution.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
