Arvind Goverdhan serves as a President and Chairman of SDL. Since joining the firm in 1982, he has become a recognized leader in structural engineering. Arvind has played a key role in delivering complex structures and high-rise buildings while serving as SDL’s Technical Advisor. His expertise extends beyond project execution—he has pioneered numerous in-house programs for structural analysis and design, enhancing SDL’s engineering capabilities and advancing industry standards. He holds a B.S. from India Institute of Technology and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.  Committed to innovation and excellence, Arvind has also contributed to the profession through his involvement with several AISC National Committees.
