Jack Horner is a Vice President in the Nashville (Brentwood), Tennessee office. He has a primary focus in industrial design with a major emphasis in design-build projects including heavy industrial, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers. Jack has worked on many signature projects including the Sunsphere for the World’s Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee and Opryland Hotel and Resort in Nashville, Tennessee. He has been with SDL since 1969, including five years as a computer software development analyst for On-Line Computing.
Jack received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee and is a member of ASCE.
Jack is a nationally recognized structural engineer and has taught engineering mechanics and computer programming at the University of Tennessee in Nashville and computer graphics at the University of Wisconsin. As a computer software development analyst, Jack has also assisted in pioneering many structural developments that harness the power of CAD for integrated design and drafting, and has been involved with the design of many programs in use today by SDL.
